Fixings

We stock various fastening systems for roofing and cladding and will help you choose the correct application for your needs.

Fixings and Screws:
Self drilling TEK type screws with an 8mm hex head and bonded washers. These fix into the lower section of profiled sheet to either wood or metal purlins. Longer screws are available for fixing through insulation materials. Self-drilling "stitching" self-tapping screws are available for fixing sheet to sheet on laps, flashings etc. Coloured Plastic caps are used to cover the screws so that they blend with the sheets.

Nails:
Drive screw nails are twist ring shanked nails that are used together with a spat washer for use through the top of the profile to timber purlins.

Spring Head Nails are traditional twist nails with a large head that are used together with a spat washer for use with corrugated sheets through the top of the corrugation into timber purlins.
